Terms of Service
Last updated: January 2026. Please read these terms carefully before using Qatar 5G services. These terms define your rights and responsibilities when accessing our network solutions and digital platforms.
Acceptable Use Policy
All users accessing Qatar 5G networks and digital services must comply with applicable Qatari telecommunications regulations and international standards. Our infrastructure supports high-bandwidth applications including 4K streaming, cloud gaming, and IoT connectivity, but prohibits activities that degrade network performance for other subscribers.
Bandwidth management protocols are automatically enforced during peak usage periods to ensure equitable distribution. Commercial accounts must register for business-grade service levels, while residential users are subject to standard fair-use policies detailed in their service agreements.
Prohibited Activities
- • Network scanning, port mapping, or unauthorized access attempts to Qatar 5G infrastructure or other subscribers' devices
- • Distribution of malware, cryptocurrency mining operations, or hosting services that violate Qatari cybersecurity laws
- • Running commercial VPN services without enterprise licensing or using residential plans for commercial hosting
- • Excessive bandwidth consumption exceeding 2TB daily for residential users or 10TB for business accounts without prior approval
- • Interference with 5G spectrum allocations, including unauthorized equipment modifications or signal boosting without certification
Peak Hours
7:00 PM - 11:00 GMT. Dynamic QoS ensures critical applications maintain priority during congestion.
Liability Limits
Service interruptions due to force majeure are covered under standard telecom industry exemptions.
Termination
Qatar 5G reserves rights to suspend service for policy violations with 24-hour notice.
Data Usage and Privacy
Network Telemetry
Qatar 5G collects aggregated network performance data including signal strength, latency measurements, and usage patterns to optimize our 5G infrastructure across Doha, Lusail, and industrial zones. Individual browsing history, content of communications, and specific application data are never monitored or stored.
SIM card registration requires valid Qatar ID or passport documentation per Communications Regulatory Authority (CRA) requirements. Location data for emergency services is retained for 30 days, while billing records are maintained for 7 years as mandated by tax regulations.
Third-Party Sharing
We share anonymized performance metrics with hardware vendors (Ericsson, Nokia, Samsung) for network optimization. No personally identifiable information is sold to marketing firms or data brokers under any circumstances.
- Law enforcement requests with valid Qatari court orders
- Emergency services for 112/999 location verification
- Payment processors for billing and fraud prevention
- Group companies for cross-service account management
Service Availability and Liability
Qatar 5G strives for 99.9% network uptime across our covered areas. However, users acknowledge that 5G signals can be affected by building materials, atmospheric conditions, and physical obstructions. Enterprise customers requiring guaranteed uptime must purchase our premium SLA packages with redundant connectivity options.
Covered Scenarios
- • Scheduled maintenance windows (notified 48 hours in advance)
- • Equipment failures within our network infrastructure
- • Spectrum interference from authorized sources
- • Natural disasters affecting tower infrastructure
Excluded Scenarios
